We all remember the school days of cross country and hockey, running around in the freezing cold in nothing more than a thin t shirt and tiny shorts. It’s not surprising that so many of us hate the thought of any form of physical exercise. Whether you love it or hate it, there’s no getting away from it, you need to exercise to stay healthy. The trick is to identify what it is exactly you don’t like and work around it. Like healthy eating, you might not like every vegetable out there but there are still bound to be plenty of things you can eat that are really good for you.

For example many people dislike the idea of people looking at them while they work out which is why they’re put off the idea of a gym but if this is the case you can just work out at home. Splash out on some exercise equipment that will fit in your spare room like an exercise bike. This might be easier than the thought of having to go to the gym and you get some privacy whilst you’re working out. It could just be the idea of all that running around leaving your breathless that puts you off, in which case why not try power plate. Exercise plates work by exposing the muscles to thousands of tiny vibrations which cause them to contract which in turn strengthens them. So long as you’re doing something on them you’re going to see some pretty good results from these machines.

Maybe you have health problems that limit the types of exercise you can do. Someone who was asthmatic might find they struggle with anything that leaves them too out of breath. In this case try something that’s going to tone your muscles like yoga with won’t leave you feeling so out of breath. If you do find you’re feeling short of breath or wheezy just take it easy for a while.
